Splendid vintage Boho Chic rattan and wicker tuxedo style upholstered loveseat sofas, a pair. Comprised of rattan & wicker frames and both loveseats wear a beautiful contemporary fabric with colors of blue, green, pink, & white. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The wicker has inherent color variations. The righthand upper corner has a very small fray in the fabric and the wicker was repaired on the lower right side of one loveseat. There may be a couple of stubborn stains in the fabric but nothing outstanding and some of the decorative stitching in the quilting is missing in the seat cushions. It’s hard to see. Wonderful vintage Tropitone outdoor chairs with vinyl straps & cushions, set of 6. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The chair frames and cushions have been pressure washed and professionally cleaned. We have touched up some places on the frames with Krylon ivory gloss and we have ordered new feet for the chairs. The cushions still have some stubborn stains after cleaning and two of the cushions are a slightly different color of white from the rest. Please see photos and zoom in for details. This is a lovely set of six mid-century modern outdoor dining chairs by Tropitone comprised of fabulous weather resistant ivory painted aluminum frames and uv-resistant vinyl back and seat straps. They have their original loose seat cushions featuring blue and white striped weather resistant fabric covers. Two of the chairs are a little more ivory than white, it’s the way we obtained them, And they’re FABULOUS!! We believe that these are an older “vintage” version of the current Khana chair by Tropitone because these have straight backs not curved; tubular arms slightly flared outward not straight; as well as slightly curved legs. It’s a comfortable, sturdy design ready to surround any style outdoor table. And, if you’re in search of outdoor tables as well, check out the many options we have listed here for sale! They are ready to be the new vintage addition to your patio, deck, porch, or out by the pool. Tropitone was founded in Sarasota, Florida in 1954 by Burt M. Baker, a retired Lockhead Engineer and executive at Grand Rapids Chair Company. Tropitone served the contract market, including hotels, motels, clubs, and resorts with high performing outdoor patio furniture. In the 1960’s they introduced powder coated aluminum finishes to the industry. Utilizing a multi-step wash process that ensures a lasting finish, Tropitone’s aluminum frames prevail under any environmental conditions. Tropitone also pioneered the technique of double-wrapping vinyl straps around the powder coated aluminum frame for extra durability, which continues today. In 1970’s they established operations in Irvine, California which provided a bi-coastal manufacturing to North American customers. In the 80’s they released “Comfort is Key” cushions and sling seating. Tropitone sling seating has the perfect combination of clean lines, designer fabrics and carefree maintenance. In the 90’s EZ Span and Basta Sole Umbrellas were introduced and in the 2000’s woven furniture and Relax Plus cushion seating was created including replications of rattan or wicker outdoor furniture. Tropitone continued to launch new systems for their furniture from 2000 through 2014 when they celebrated their 60 years in business when they joined forces with Brown Jordan International.

This little black accent table is much like that little black dress, it just goes well with ANYTHING! It is comprised of a metal frame that has been given a fresh coat of black paint, a wonderful round top with raised trim around the edge, topped with lovely round glass which rests upon clear bumpers, and a fabulous tripod base with black feet. You can certainly use this table with or without the glass AND you can use it indoor or outdoor! Talk about versatility!! Every now and then you need to EXPAND your horizons… or at least, your coffee table!! We are here to help!! This is a stunning vintage coffee table comprised of a solid teak frame with a teak veneered extending top attributed to Remploy. This fabulous expansion design consists of inner grooves and the two top halves have pins that stick in those grooves and slide up and apart to expand the tabletop AND reveal a gorgeous square Formica lined square surface adorned with little gold leaves! An ideal place to set a beverage or vase of flowers. The wood has a beautiful variation of the natural tones inherent to the aspect of the wood… it is phenomenal! It also has a very useful slatted shelf below the tabletop… perfect storage for books, magazines, or maybe a tray for your remotes! Whether closed or expanded, its quintessential Scandinavian Modern design is sure to bring a bold statement with a Danish flair to any room in your home.
Remploy is an organization in the United Kingdom which provides employment placement services for disabled people. Historically, it also directly employed disabled people in a number of factories owned by Remploy itself and subsidized by the UK government however, these were phased out at the start of the 21st century. It opened its first factory in 1946 and over the following decades it established a network of 83 factories across the UK making a variety of products. Remploy underwent a major change to its operation at the start of the 21st century and branched out into providing general employment assistance for disabled people, and others with barriers to employment. After the closure of most Remploy factories, the provision of these assistance services became Remploy's principal purpose. In March 2015, it was confirmed that Remploy would become owned by US service provider Maximus. Transfer of ownership was completed in April 2015.

And it has a newly modified recessed black painted base as it encountered water at some point in its life and could not be refinished so we revamped it, modified, and painted the base black. I can’t think of anything better than a vintage Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller Aluminum Group high back chair!!! Except maybe a purple one!! Aubergine Eggplant, Purple whichever!! WOW!!! It is comprised of an aluminum frame, 4 prong aluminum base with nylon feet, black swivel shaft, black powder coated aluminum arms, and it has been reupholstered in a lovely aubergine or eggplant faux suede fabric. Can we just say Design EXCELLENCE!!!! And not to mention extraordinary comfort! The dynamic design duo of husband and wife team Charles & Ray Eames focused on every detail and combined ergonomics, flexibility, constructive elements, highest quality materials, and attention to superior style which created a masterpiece that is highly sought after still today. The design was introduced in 1958 and is still in production! This vintage beauty will be phenomenal at a desk in an office setting, next to your bed or in the dressing area of your bedroom, or extra seating in the sitting room. It is versatile enough to blend in with many décor styles, but it’s bursting with Mid-Century Modern magnificence!! This treasure is exactly what the designer ordered!
Charles Eames was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1907. Ray Kaiser Eames was born in Sacramento, California in 1912. They met at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan and were married in 1941. They moved together to California and continued their design work they began together at Cranbrook. A commission, which they acquired from the government during WWII to produce molded plywood splints and stretchers, launched a career producing iconic Mid-Century Modern furnishings which are still fresh and sought after today. Charming late 20th century modified tuxedo slipcover style pillow back large scale sofa. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. This sofa will need to be reupholstered. There are rust stains on the body along with other stains even though it has been professionally cleaned. It has been priced accordingly. The loose-24-inch pillows are in good condition although the poly fil in the animal print pillows is twisted and needs to be repositioned. Please see photos and zoom in for details. They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, well, behold this beauty! But don’t look at the fabric ethel!!!! Lol!!!! Ok, so… this sofa is a definite reupholster which we feel comes with SO MANY fabulous opportunities! Plus, the sofa has really good bones. Let’s talk about the “bones” first!! This baby is large scale, and the arms have a slight angle; hence, modified tuxedo style, two loose feather wrapped foam zippered seat cushions, a loose pillow back with five unzippered 24 inch poly filled pillows, and black painted wood tapered legs under the skirt. It is upholstered in a slipcover style and right now, it has a Neoclassical look with Greek key detail trimming the base of the skirt combined with animal print pillows, but changing the fabric will completely change the style of the sofa. Versatility overload!! Three pillows are solid off-white linen on one side and textured & striped off-white linen on the other side and two pillows are camel or khaki and off white animal print. If you put a neutral cover on the sofa you could use ANY pillows. You could have so much fun with that! Adorn it with seasonal or holiday pillows...

No human being, however great, or powerful, was ever so free as a fish – John Ruskin, Picture Quotes. Just look at this magnificent cast bronze bowl sculpture with fish design created by John Forsythe. A decorative bowl comprised of a cast bronze water whirlpool with swimming fish caught in the spinning currents, their half bodies and patinated green tails distending from the swirling water and a fish tail protruding from the exterior base of the bowl. You feel the struggle of trying to stay above water and complete your journey. Surrounded by a cast bronze rim trimmed with shiny green bubbles or fish eggs as to represent salmon and their spawning. Salmon lay an enormous number of eggs because they face a lot of adversity on their journey to becoming an adult, and while we aren’t sure these fish are in fact salmon, it certainly speaks to the realities of the course of life. Overcoming hardships and struggles and new beginnings. This sculpture is unique and one of only fifty created by John Forsythe, so it is sure to be a sought-after piece for collectors. This gorgeous magazine rack attributed to Arthur Umanoff and produced by Washington Woodcraft is just the thing. Comprised of a solid walnut oval bottom and a slightly larger ring of solid walnut for the top with the two being connected by simple solid walnut spindles. The difference in size of the top and bottom result in the slight angle of its sides. Simple and stunning.

Iconic Mid-Century Modern Broyhill Brasilia original set of 10 dining chairs, 2 arm and 8 sides. Dark walnut and new dark blue/black upholstery. Their iconic sculpted design inspired by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer is extremely desirable and sought after. Finding an original set of ten is rare! They have been re-upholstered in a fabric that is an ongoing debate here as to whether it is blue or black. Depending on the light some of us say blue and some say black, but either way, they are absolutely stunning. They are comprised of deep sultry walnut and the backs of the chairs bear the elegant triple Brasilia arches. Their high backs, tapered legs and sturdy frame unify their comfort. These will be wonderful encompassing any dining room table. The Brasilia Collection is Mid-Century Modern in style but borders on Brutalist although it would be beautiful in an Industrial or modern country setting as well.
It is no coincidence that The Brasilia collection design is very architectural in style. It was introduced to the public at the Seattle World’s Fair in 1962 and drew its inspiration from the architecture of the newly created and majestic Capital of Brazil, Brasilia. The brochure for Brasilia by Broyhill Premier says…….”Brasilia…the city…by its daring and beauty has revolutionized architecture and opened vast new horizons of design. From this inspired dream, Broyhill Premier drew inspiration for the furniture grouping which bears the Fine young name: BRASILIA.” This line was extremely popular with the furniture buying public and is still sought out today. Broyhill ended production of this successful line sometime in the 1970s...
