Villa Vallombrosa
Family Home by Annie Kelly Art + Design in Los Angeles, CA
Built in 1928, the Villa Vallombrosa is a Historical Cultural Monument in the City of Los Angeles.
From a broad terrace above the street, the front door opens onto a tiny hall with a Gothic arch, from which tunnel-like stairs curve theatrically upwards and into the twenty-foot-high sitting room on the piano nobile, or main floor.
I furnished the house with a mix of French and Italian antiques, with an added layer of Moroccan exoticism. Wall hangings, and large antique portraits fill the walls.
