Block Island Split-Level
Beach House by Kligerman Architecture and Design in Block Island, RI
Architecture by Ike Kligerman Barkley, interior design by Terri Ricci. A reinvention of a vinyl-clad tract house, this Split-Level is an open plan upside down house – the public rooms above, the bedrooms below. The upper story combines living, dining, and kitchen in an expansive space that looks across a pond to the Block Island Harbor. The diamond motifs of craftsman architecture weave throughout the house, creating a consistent integrity of form.
