Stainless Steel Universal Geneve Compax Chronograph, circa 1950s
About the Item
Universal Geneve Compax chronograph Ref. # 22270; made in stainless steel. The watch measures 36mm with large fluted turn down lugs, silver two tone dial with a 12 hour recorded dial, 30minute dial and sub second hand. Condition: Suburb original condition, original dial, runs will and keeps time. Circa 1950's The watch is triple signed dial, case back, movement. The watch has been serviced and keeps great time and all the functions work. The condition is all original, dial and case are as made originally.
Essay: This is an extremely rare Universal Geneve Chronograph with this dramatic steel case from post war II. We have seen this in some of the other Swiss watch manufactures but never in a Universal Geneve.
