Dutch 833 Silver H Hooijkaas Serving Tongs

About the Item

Dutch 833 silver serving sugar tongs by Herbert Hooijkaas, circa 1938. Scissor shaped tongs featuring a spatula side and a smaller fork side, both featuring an ornate Dutch scene. Measures approx 7" long. 1 5/8" across spatula, 1 1/4" wide across fork tines. Weighs approx 76.4g, 49.1dwt. Marked lion 2 (833 fineness) on fork, marked HH (Herbert Hooijkaas makers mark) key lion (.833 fineness) Minerva head with M (city mark for Schoonhoven) D (date mark for 1938) Very nice condition with some tarnish, small discoloration spots and surface scratching. Will come packaged in a gift box or pouch (when possible)
