Ring in 18 karat yellow gold, eagle head hallmark and platinum. Splendid retro ring, it is adorned on its top of an antique brilliant- cut diamond on an illusion setting. On either side of the head, 2 "8/8"- cut diamonds are set on platinum. The ring is wide, thick, gadrooned and joins the head by a loop and double link pattern. Weight of the main diamond : 0.45 carat approximately. Total weight of the 2 diamonds : 0.08 carat approximately. This impressive 1950s diamond engagement ring has been crafted in 18k white gold with a platinum setting. The 0.55 carat transitional modern brilliant round cut diamond is held in relief in an eight claw / prong, platinum, pierced decorated, elevated basket setting embellished with a fluted border. The elevated, pierced decorated ring shoulders blend seamlessly with the plain 18k white gold hallmarked shank. The exterior of the shank is hallmarked with the French eagle's head and dog's head marks and some maker's marks that are rubbed. This 1950s diamond engagement ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate. Condition The 1950s diamond ring is fine quality set with a very high color graded, very high clarity graded diamond.
