Edwardian Five-Stone Diamond Ring, circa 1910

About the Item

This beautiful fvie stone ring has a centre diamond weighing 0.35 carat and they graduate out in size. The two adjacent to the centre stone weigh 0.25 carat and each end diamond weighs 0.10 carat. This brings the total to 1.05 carat and all the diamonds are old cut stones. They are estimated as G to H in colour and SI in clarity. They have been set within platinum whilst the band has been made in 18 carat yellow gold. This is classic for the Edwardian period. A fine and impressive antique 0.36 carat diamond and 18 karat yellow gold five stone ring; part of our collection of antique diamond rings. This fine and impressive diamond five stone ring has been crafted in 18k yellow gold. The elevated pierced decorated scroll setting displays five old European round cut diamonds, set in 18k white gold tipped claws / prongs graduating in size. The ring shoulders which integrate into the claw / prong setting are ornamented with a scrolling, shaped groove design. The pierced decorated, shaped ring shoulders meld smoothly with the plain 18k yellow gold ring shank. The interior of the shank displays a contemporary engraved inscription "DP to JW 5/77".
