About the Item

British Cluster Halo Ring set with oval cut natural untreated Sapphire surrounded with 12 old European cut Diamonds. Floret/ crown measures 17 mm x 14 mm x 7 mm deep. Sapphire measures : 9 mm x 7 mm x 4.5 mm deep / ca. 2.45ct . Sapphire's deep Blue of medium strength with distinctive Color Zoning. Untreated stone, inclusions and distinctive color banding are visible under x 10 magnification. 12 Diamonds, all old European cut circa Ø 2.5 mm / 0,06 ct each / ca. 0.7 ct total. Color ca. F,G /VS GIA scale. All stones have backs open. Hallmarked 756, British hallmarks. Unknown maker, city of Birmingham, year marks for 1977. Used fine condition. No diamond replacements,all stones match in size,color and cut. Secure settings. Stones of the rings photographed alone may look a bit differently when on hand because your finger makes the back side of the stone closed and light no longer can go through and the color becomes different. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described.
