Antique 1.71 Carat Diamond and Platinum Pendant

A stunning antique 2.71 carat diamond and 12 karat yellow gold, platinum set pendant; part of our diverse antique jewellery and estate jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive antique pendant has been crafted in 12k yellow gold with a platinum setting. The segmented pierced decorated, fan-shaped design is embellished with millegrain decoration. The tapering portion of the design is ornamented with an impressive feature individually collet set Old European cut diamond to the centre. The upper portion of the design incorporates nine further Old European cut diamonds in an arched arrangement, each to the nadir of a petal shaped setting accented with a further Old European cut diamond, graduating in size dependant on location. The trellis design encompassing this central arrangement incorporates nineteen pavé set diamonds, in a combination of Old European and eight cuts. The lower swept border and upper arch are further ornamented with sixteen diamonds, paralleling the pendants fan-shaped design. Carved Aquamarine Pendant with Sapphire Bead Tassel. Inspired by Egyptian and Sumerian rolling seals, this 100ct hand-carved aquamarine pendant was turned from a 200ct plus piece of rough, reported to have been mined in Kenya at the end of the 19th century. Kenyan Aquamarine is extremely rare and is characterized by its sea foam color. Examples in this size are extremely rare. Hand-carved in Germany by masters of the miniature, this crystal features two owls perched within gothic arches and inscribed in Latin with the words “aude sapirre” (‘dare to be wise’) and “amabit sapiens” (‘wise men love’).
