French 19th Century Natural Pearls Diamonds Onyx Cameo Set
About the Item
Set in 18 karat yellow gold, eagle head and rhinoceros head hallmarks.
This rare antique set includes :
An antique ring set with a two-layered cameo on onyx, oval in shape representing the profile of a woman, adorned at the four cardinal points with rose-cut diamonds separated by natural pearls. On either side, two fleur-de-lys give the start of the ring which is openwork.
A pair of antique earrings whose upper part is decorated with baroque pearls on a circle, and holds in pendants an openwork pattern of scrolls centered of a flower, which hung in pendants a cameo on onyx two layers representing the profiles of women, with at the base and above rose-cut diamonds surrounded by half pearls. The hanging part separates from the fixed part to form a fine pearl sleeper. The hanging system is swan neck.
An antique brooch - pendant, decorated with the same pattern as the previous earrings. The beliere is openwork and removable as well as the hanging system which is a pin, in order to wear the jewel as a brooch or as a pendant. The cameo is numbered and monogrammed on the back.
An articulated bangle bracelet chiselled on the borders of the pattern in portico, the clasp is a ladder ratchet. On the top comes to hang, a cameo similar to that of the brooch, removable by a rod, if one wishes to wear the bracelet alone.
