About the Item

Convertible dangle drop earrings designed by Luna Felix. Fabulous colorful dangle drops earrings, created by the talented artist and goldsmith Luna Felix. These gorgeous earrings has been designed as a convertible day and night pair in solid rich yellow gold of 22 karats. Made up with ancient patterns of twisted wires and set up with a great selection of natural earth mined gemstones. Fitted at the reverse with 18kt yellow gold posts (Removable) and comfortable French omega backs for fastening clips. Coral: Mount in bezel settings, with 2 oval and 2 pear shaped cabochon cut of natural Sardinian ox-blood coral with an approximate weight of about 26 carats. Tourmalines: Mount in bezel settings, wit 8 round and oval cabochon cut of natural Braziliant color tourmalines, 2.64 carats. Birthstone: Tourmaline for the month of October. Weight: 40.95 Grams, (26.25 Dwt). Measurements: Full lenght is 57 mm by 29 mm (2.25 x 1.15 Inches). Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "©LUNA 22KT 18KT". Luna Felix is a designer who has been creating exquisite gold adornments since 1969. Her work has been featured on album covers, worn by Madonna and Gena Davis. Luna began working at the United Nations In New York, wearing clothing and jewelry of her own design, creating such attention and acclaim that she was quickly thrust into the role of fashion and jewelry designer, showing full collections at Lord and Taylor, Neiman Marcus, Bendel's and Bloomingdales. Luna specializes in the ancient and precise technique of granulation, (the process of using granules of gold to create designs in relief), she then sets these into some of the most opulent and exquisite jewelry designs of this century. Recognized throughout the world as being at the forefront of fine jewelry design, her voracious creativity pours itself into searching out the earths most precious and unusual gems, minerals and fossils. Today Luna is extending her artistic attention to lesser known riches of the earth: colored diamonds, gem silica, pearls of Mississippi and Tennessee, Mexican fire opals and agates. The American Southwest has introduced her to many of these less official daughters of the gem world. A new freedom and excitement is emerging in the jewelry, according to Luna. She claims to be more indulgent and abstract, giving up some of the traditional symmetry of her previous creations. Pair of Mughal dangle drops Earrings. This is a beautiful vintage pair of Kundan dangle drop earrings, created in the Mughal Empire style. The gorgeous pair of dangle drops earrings has been carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 22 karats (0.916/0.999) with high polished finish. The earrings are embellished with eight sparkling foiled rock quartzes and are fitted at the reverse with 18Kt gold posts for pierced ears and 18Kt butterfly backs. As a special note, 91.67% of the total weight of these earrings are pure gold. Weight: 7.6 Grams, (4.87 Dwt). Measurements: 42 mm by 15 mm (1.65 x 0.59 Inches). Hallmarks: They are both electronically tested for .9166/.9999 gold, for 22 karats and 18kt for the butterfly backs.
