Mrs Vreeland went through over a dozen pairs, and was photographed in them so often WWD speculated she put them on with polydent.
I imediatly sent another pair to her Park Ave apt with Polydent,
much to her amusement.
These are in the permanent collection of the Met Museum Costume Insitute
