Mounted Diamond Back Rattlesnake Skin

About the Item

Rattlesnake skin (likely a Diamondback, based on its pattern) mounted via brass studs to a painted blue plank, circa 1950s. The metal brackets, which house the wire, show natural rusting / patina from age. The plank also bears patina from age, with paint loss in spots. The slight separation toward the end of the skin is a common result when detaching the rattle. The skin is in good, vintage condition with general wear (small holes / losses, as shown). Signed and dated in pencil. Measures: Height of board 11.75", height to top of metal bracket 15.1".
