About the Item
Finely woven on 15th century hand-looms by highly skilled artisans in the exclusive regions of Kashmir, India, high in the Himalayan Mountains where the famous goats are herded for the "gold wool that is hand dyed, spun and woven. This celestial garden under a tree of life is woven beautifully in tones, of teal, coral and rose featuring an aviary for birds of many sorts including center motif peacocks with a border of jaguars, zebras in all the floral and fauna that capture some of the endearing mythology and animals of India, this is a large one of a kind cashmere pashmina. Made for royalty purchased on our India 2019 trip to Jodhpur.
