Set of 8 18th Century French Copper Engravings Prints of Oil Lamps

About the Item

Each measuring 11 wide by 17.5 high, very good condition with slight tonig, suitable for framing. B. Montfaucon Bernard de Montfaucon, O.S.B. (French: [d? m?~fok?~]; 13 January 1655 – 21 December 1741) was a French Benedictine monk of the Congregation of Saint Maur. He was an astute scholar who founded the discipline of palaeography, as well as being an editor of works of the Fathers of the Church. He is regarded as one of the founders of the modern discipline of archaeology.
