Snaffles WWI Military Print, The Gunner. A good Snaffles WWI military print entitled 'The 'Gunner', it is a hand coloured lithograph and shows the Gunner looking up at a passing plane (it is a remaque in the top right corner) with the caption 'Good hunting! Old sportsman'. In the bottom left hand margin is a second remarque depicting a column of guns led by an officer on a charger. This Charles "Snaffles" Johnson Payne (1884 1967) picture is in good original condition with the Snaffles blindstamp (a bridle bit) and framed in original black oak frame. Dimensions: Height 28.4 cm / 11 " Width 20.2 cm / 8 " Framed height 46.2 cm / 18 " Framed width 35.7 cm / 14 " Framed depth 1.5 cm / " Period 1900-1949 Year 1916 Medium Lithograph Country United Kingdom Condition Good condition. Frame has been cleaned, waxed and with new paper to the rear. The print has good colour but the paper is slightly wavy.
