About the Item
Philippe Halsman(1906-1979) was a Latvian-born American portrait photographer.He was a friend of both Albert Einstein and Salvador Dali;Halsman collaborated with Dali on several projects including"Dali Atomicus."
From 1940's through the 1970's his photographs of celebrities and politicians graced the covers of many magazines including Life,Esquire,Saturday Evening Post,and later the Time.
Halsman died in NYC in 1979.
