About the Item
A charming and large circa 1970 framed oil painting on canvas by Robert McCaine depicting a young child in their birthday suit riding away on a tricycle.
Wonderfully captures the carefree and kinetic vibe of youth. Long sandy blonde hair and handlebar streamers blow wildly in the wind as the unabashedly butt-naked, tan-lined tyke peddles their trike into a bright and seemingly limitless future.
Confident and loose skillfully-done brushwork on great display throughout serves to set the nostalgic scene. Avocado green and harvest gold color palette exhibits a very evocative late-‘60s to early-‘70s aesthetic.
Signed “McCaine” at upper left. In original dark wood frame with brass-finish vinyl trim.
