Pair, Original oil on canvas paintings with calvary soldiers near encampment. Unsigned, brass plaque on each reads August Querfurt 1696-1761.
August Querfurt (1696–1761) was an Austrian painter born in Vienna.
Condition: Crackles, peelings and retouches throughout both. New stretcher.
Canvas in good age related condition, old touch ups, scratches and craquelure, etc. Both canvases will benefit from cleaning which we leave to discretion of buyer. Frames show age related distress/scratches, minor losses and separation at corners.
