Pair of 18th Century Paintings on Board in Gilt Frames Signed N. Lavreince

About the Item

Set in the original carved gilt frames, these beautiful antique paintings were created in France, circa 1770. The first composition titled "la lecon de dessin", features a woman being taught how to paint. The second artwork, "lecon de musique", depicts a woman taking a piano lesson. These art works beautifully illustrate women in the art industry, and possess an excellent quality with rich colors. A plaque with N. Lavreince (1737-1807) is attached to the frames. Measures: 9.25" W x 10.75" H.
