About the Item

Romantic still life of flowers and fruit from the late Victorian Grand Tour Period. Although unsigned, this oil on original canvas has two intriguing "R" insignias, on the gold chatelaine and one on the bound book. Verso notes from restoration in 1987. Purchased in 1987 in London from Harari and Johns Gallery, 173 New Bond Street. Measures: 28" x 24" x 2"; Framed: 32" x 28" x 2"
