About the Item
Making liberal use of brilliant colors, dominated by grey-blue and deep pink, this painting depicts a seated harlequin/musician figure with a faint, knowing smile, contrasting with the mask of tragedy hanging on the wall to one side. The halequin's lute has been set aside for the moment and he seems quietly bemused and at peace. The painting by Miguel Pamico retains its original, stunning frame, painted in old gold and black.
