Antique framed oil painting on canvas by Walthere Jamar (1866-1950) is a panoramic landscape that captures the glory of nature in all her splendor! Jamar has used varying brush techniques to depict the valley in the foreground transitioning to the hazy hills in the background, then the wispy clouds promenading across the scene creating visual movement. The combination of earth tones is truly remarkable, and the way the artist has used those tones to meld with the sky overhead is inspirational. Set on a wide format canvas, the work survives in its original frame.
