About the Item
Watercolor and ink on laid cut paper featuring a solider and his love. With cut out lettering at the top reading "Valentine The (23 or 25) of December 1816" and at the bottom "When This You Se Remember Me".

Most likely British and an amazing example of these period love tokens. Measures 16" x 12.5" including frame. Some slight mat wear, not to the valentine itself, and presents very well.
