Erin Vincent
Erin Vincent is a Toronto based artist whose work draws on a variety of repetitive and labor-intensive processes and materials. Things and common objects have always fascinated Vincent. She de-categorizes them and removes established hierarchies by carefully reorganizing man-made objects, using a grid and repetitive patterns to ultimately transform them into beautiful nature-inspired textures and forms. Vincent explores themes of emotional intensity, intuition and the relationship between things. The sculptures she makes possess their liveliness and ability to engage and be engaged.
