About the Item
Engravings by Orfeo Tamburini representing the districts of Paris for the series Paris 20+1 realized with etching and aquatint in colors. They are signed in pencil by the artist and published between 1979 and 1981 by Il Cigno in Rome. The stamp is visible at the bottom right of the print. These are limited editions of 130 copies.
2nd district - "rue de la Michodière" district of the Bourse.
3rd district - "case e tetti" (houses and roofs) district of the Temple
4th district - "La nuvola salle casa" (the cloud of the house) district of the city hall
14th district - "House on rue du Maine" observatory district
Orfeo Tamburini (1910-1994),Italian painter and engraver, is known for his representations of urban life. He developed a passion for engraving and prints with warm intonations and broad lines, inspired by Cézanne. In the 1960's he was hired by the American magazine Fortune to depict many cities in the United States. In 1971, he moved to Paris and illustrated the city in all seasons. That same year, the Italian president awarded him the gold medal for cultural merit.

The artist signed them in pencil and they are published by Il Cigno in Rome between 1979 and 1981. The stamp of the publishing house is on the bottom right of the work.
