Burmese Hand Carved Reticulated Hardwood Set w/ Table, Chairs, & Footstools
About the Item
A beautifully hand carved Burmese hardwood set including a tilt top round table, and two matching side chairs with heavily carved skirts and accompanying footstools. Each piece is pierce carved with exceptional detail, including animals and buildings, surrounded by foliage. The slip seats are newly upholstered in red with figural scenes and woven bases, as well as the footstools. The set dates to the 19th century and is in very good overall condition, with some shrinkage cracks, minor losses, and light wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: Table: 31.75 in H x 29 in Diameter; Chairs: 34.5 in H x 18 in W x 21 in D, with seat height 18 in; Footstools: 8.5 in H x 12.5 in Diameter. Ref: 637
