About the Item
An elegant pedestal side table produced in Sweden in the 1930s. The tabletop features a burled wood veneer, which is known for its distinctive, swirling grain patterns, adding a unique, organic texture. The lighter blonde wood used for the rim, base, and legs provides contrast to the more intricate surface of the top. The vasiform pedestal base has a square column with subtle geometric inlay designs, adding a decorative touch to the overall simplicity of the table.

In the 1920s a young and talented generation of designers looked back to classicism and their own Swedish traditions, and created a unique style characterized by timeless proportions, exceptional craftsmanship and playful details.
