Pair Of French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Mahogany, Marble, & Ormolu Side Tables
About the Item
An elegant pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Mahogany, Brass, Ormolu and white Carrara marble side tables. The tables are raised on elegant topie shaped feet with brass rings connected by a square Mahogany stretcher, all below the circular tapered legs with concave Brass chutes. The upper sections of the tables showcase handsome and wonderfully decorated rectangular recessed panels with mottled brass bands, Ormolu corner rosettes, and open to reveal the interior storage compartments. Above are single drawers decorated with similar recessed panels and Ormolu 'U' shaped handles. Above are the original fitted white Carrara marble tops with carved outer bands. The back of each table is finished so they can be displayed in the center of a room.
