French Early 19th Century Louis Philippe Period Mahogany Side Table/Desk
About the Item
A beautiful and most unique French early 19th century Louis Philippe period Mahogany side table/desk. The desk is raised by elegant tapered turned circular legs with their original casters and an exceptional reeded and mottled design below the straight apron which displays one drawer. The top showcases the beautiful mahogany grain and opens in a very unique fashion locking open at a right angle with two rounded fold out supports at each side lead up and locked in place via their original hardware to create privacy. All original brass hardware and rich patina throughout.
