Art Deco Vintage Oak Green Glass Side Table attributed Josef Frank, 1930s Vienna
About the Item
Art Deco vintage side table attributed to Josef Frank for Haus & Garten 1930s Vienna from brown stained oak and green teal glass plate in round shape with three legs.
While the base was made from solid oak the top was made from oak veneer with a green teal marbled glass plate.
The condition is very good. The amazing side table is shellac hand polished.
Josef Frank is one of the most popular Austrian representative from architects and designers of the art deco era in Vienna.
His work presented cosy and livable houses ( e.g. Werkbundsiedlung ) and interiors. During the interwar period the architects loved to design furnishings, which were mostly mobile and combinable, Josef Frank already began to affect this mindset in the 1920s with his interior firm Haus & Garten in 1010 Vienna.
