19th Victorian Small Salesman Sample Gateleg Folding Side Table

About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this rare original Victorian Walnut gateleg table. This is a rare little piece, it is as mentioned a salesman sample, if you’re not familiar basically in the Georgian and Victorian era craftsman would make small scale samples of larger pieces of furniture for salesmen to take with them to try and gain commissions for full sized pieces. This one is of an early Victorian gateleg table. Size wise this is equivalent to and will be most likely use as a side or cards table now a days. The deep when the table is closed is 7.40 in, is very light.
