Set of '3' Trioh Møbelfabrik Oak Nesting Tables with Ox Art Studio Ceramic Tiles
About the Item
Capture the free spirit of the 1970's with this set of (3) nesting side tables, produced by the Danish furniture maker Trioh Møbelfabrik in collaboration with the illustrious ceramics studio Ox Art.
Each tabletop is inlaid with a stunning and expressive abstract mosaic of Ox Art ceramic tiles, hand-glazed in shades of coppery brown, cobalt, blue-green, gray, and black. The motif features a radiating border which draws the eye inward, to a ring of lollipop-like swirls of color encircling an earthy center, punctuated by intersections of bold black lines.
In perfect contrast to the boldness of the mosaics, the table frames themselves feature clean, simple lines. Each is crafted from oak wood and finished in a rich espresso stain which beautifully compliments the earth tones of the ceramic glazes.
Tables are signed "Ox Art" and dated (from largest to smallest) '76, '75, and '70 at the front corner tile. The largest is stamped "Trioh" and dated '76 underneath.
