About the Item
A French Napoleon III period walnut guéridon side table from the third quarter of the 19th century, with circular tray top, single drawer and lyre-shaped base. Born in France at the end of the reign of emperor Napoleon III, this exquisite guéridon table features a circular tray top sitting above a simple apron concealing a small drawer. It is the base however that attracts our attention with its lyre-shaped silhouette, resting on an in-curving low stretcher with bun feet. With its nice proportions, graceful lines and lovely walnut patina, this French guéridon table circa 1870 will bring an elegant presence to any living room, bedroom or hallway.
