Louis XVI Style Mahogany and Gilt Bronze Marble topped Humidor and Side Table
About the Item
A 19th century Louis XVI style occasional table and a cigar humidor. The table is made of well-figured mahogany with a galleried brocatelle breche marble top above two doors (and one false door front) supported by fluted legs. The lower door opens to reveal the humidor, a white marble lined inside with an air circulation hole in the back of the compartment. All sides of the case including the fluted legs are inlaid with gilded brass fillets; the table also has a lower shelf between the four legs.
