Handsome Late 20th Century Jacobean Style rectangular barley twist base and glass top end table. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. Please see photos and zoom in for details. COME ON BABY. Let’s do the TWIST!! The Barley twist that is!!!! This is a wonderful Jacobean style end table with a barley twist wood base and a lovely rectangular glass top. Fun fact… This popular furniture technique first appeared in England and France in the 1600s. Furniture with spiral-turned legs was known as “barley twist” or “barley sugar,” as it resembled sticks of barley sugar! Isn’t that SWEET?? We certainly think so! It is going to be fabulous in any room that needs a “twist of style!” and will blend in beautifully with many styles of décor. Cool history, simple yet timeless design, and it’s swirling with spirals of style! This marvelous barley twist end table has it ALL!! Don’t make us “twist your arm!” Make it YOURS!!
