Rare Original Bronze Michel Mangematin Dining Table, "Modèle 4; pour salle à manger", France, 1960s. With branded mark: "Typ: SM - Mod: 4 - N° 37" - on the bronze base. Fast shipping worldwide.
Original glass top with bevelled edges. One small chip to the glass top. The glass table top sits on the base so is easily replaced (it could also be replaced with marble or a larger or smaller table top).
After graduating from the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 1957, Michel Mangematin spent time in the United States, working in the offices of Frank Lloyd Wright and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Known for his work as an architect, he left behind very few furniture designs. This table successfully betrays his American passage with the great architects for whom he worked.
