Bamboo Base Round Dining Table with Glass Top
About the Item
Sculptural 1950's bamboo dining table is formed in two parts first a cluster of large bamboo legs in the form of a circle and then a outer ring of bamboo legs with a round glass top that rests on top. The result is monumental base which presents its self as a sculpture but also a table fit for a banquet of 8-12 people.
The glass top is currently Diameter 120 cm but the table can easily take a 150 cm diameter glass top.

Sculptural dining table revolves in two positions from round to oval. This most extraordinary table is made with high quality materials and engineering, avantgarde design typical from the 1980's. When the black lacquered moon shape part of the table top is moved down and turned under glass table top the table becomes round and compact. When extended the black section lifts up to the glass level and the table becomes oval, 130 x 170 cm. The foot is in dark polished Stainless Steel. The marble look resin base is weighted.

The dining table base, crafted entirely by hand, features bamboo poles lashed in place with McGuire's signature rawhide laces and has a welded iron frame.
