About the Item
Antique Stripped Oak Rustic European Trestle Table ~ Dining Table was literally designed to last for centuries! Hand-crafted from thick, dense old-growth white oak, the top is made from planks so thick a supporting apron is entirely unnecessary. This provides the maximum knee clearance possible for your dining comfort! Support is provided by six heavy columns affixed to artfully carved spreaders below, the middle of which columns are connected across with yet another thick beam or trestle, secured with shims also called wedges, in the time-honored traditional craftsmanship that has been handed down from generation to generation for centuries in the Old World.
