About the Item
Impressive antique dining table.
This striking, mid 1800s two-piece dining or center table is of a beautiful shape and color. The hand-carved, solid wooden base with the wonderful, scrolling leafs is of the finest quality and condition. This two-piece table is very easy to (dis)assemble and it is as strong and stable as the day it was hand-crafted. At some point in time the original table top (possibly marble) was replaced with this beautiful, solid chestnut one. The color and the grains (or 'flames') in this table top truly are a joy to behold. Apart from some wear to the veneered edge of this table (the edge on which the stunning table top rests) this table could not be in better condition and it has the perfect height and diameter for a dining table.
