Tyrolean Style Ornate Pine Desk or Table with Locking Drawer from Austria
About the Item
Beautiful, almost folkloristic, Tyrolean style desk with pine wood frame and lower locking drawer. Organically carved, its traditional features in natural wood tone are contrasted by an ornate black iron key accent. The "Tyrolean" style originated in various Alpine regions, including Austria, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland and its folky shapes and whimsical and inviting curves call back to its beginnings around the 1900's. The desk is in original condition with some visible wear consistent with age and use.
