Superb 1920s Oak Roll Top Desk
About the Item
A superb 1920s beautifully patinated oak roll top desk of neat proportions, finely carved and of gorgeous quality. The moulded top of rectangular form raised over D-shaped tambour slatted front with decorative brass escutcheon and moulded pulls. The tambour top rolls upwards to reveal the writing desk surface and fitted interior with an arrangement of compartments comprising of small drawers, pigeon holes and letter racks. Raised above concave knee hole, single drawer frieze flanked with beautifully panelled twin pedestals each with four graduated drawers with carved pulls, supported on platform base.
