Handcrafted English Oak Desk Console
About the Item
Our larger handcrafted modernist wall mounted oak desk/vanity or console table designed and handmade in England using traditional furniture making techniques. Completely handcrafted from the finest fully quarter sawn English oak. Hand dovetailed joints surround the oak box and inner drawer parts. The leather finger pulls can be in English Tan or Black bridle leather. Small wooden handles can be created if leather is not to your liking. This desk table is fixed to the wall via unseen screw holes hidden away behind the drawers. A solid and distinctive piece of modernist furniture that is built to last. Hand finished in durable natural oils.
Custom dimensions will be quoted upon request.
The legs simply unscrew for extra safe transportation and shipping.
Black walnut and freestanding versions also available.

Our regular use of English Quartersawn Oak is one case in point. It has been the beloved timber of fine furniture makers across the world for centuries. It is costly to produce but gives huge benefits and rewards such as its striking medullary rays and superb stability qualities.
By utilising these wonderful and naturally occurring features with our contemporary designs we aim to continue creating some very distinct, tactile and idiosyncratic pieces.
These are all completely handmade, in very small numbers, by our skilled craftspeople in England.
