French Mid-Century Modern Jacques Adnet inspired Desk Made to Order by Old Plank

About the Item

French Mid-Century Modern inspired Desk made to order by Old Plank in our woodworking department from Mahogany, Leather (hand-dyed in house) and Brass. We would have loved to take credit for the design, but it was brought to us by an interior design firm and is clearly from the famed French Art Deco Modernist designer Jacques Adnet (1900-1984) Adnet firmly believed in the function of an item blended with the geometrical simplicity of the piece. Our Mid-Century Modern Adnet inspired desk is completely hand-made and can be ordered in any dimension or finish. The leather Desk top insert is edged with brass and since we dye our own leather hides, you have virtually endless options for the colour. Likewise the desk could just as easily be made from walnut. Fabricating a desk to this high a quality standard does require time and patience, for they can require 3-4 months for completion, but =certainly worth the wait for those who truly appreciate fine craftsmanship.
