Early 20th century English leather top desk

About the Item

Early 20th century leather top mahogany desk circa 1910. Original red leather writing surface with gold tooling, with obvious signs of use.  Fitted with 3 drawers above the the knee for storage, desk is fitted with dummy drawers on the back and sides, all fitted with the same swan neck handles. Very much in the Georgian taste. Raised on 4 shaped block legs. Clear surface marks, fading and staining to original leather.  Minor surface marks to woodwork.  Legs with slight evidence of natural shrinkage but stands straight and true. Knee height 24 1/2"
