Børge Mogensen Drop Leaf Desk in Teak for Søborg

About the Item

A really special drop-leaf desk by Børge Mogensen for Søborg Mobler, Denmark. This example produced in teak with a stainless steel base and a very rare White laminate drop-leaf. These are typical seen with a standard teak drop -leaf but this example was special ordered with the white laminate top. A terrific contrast to the dark wood tones and modernizes this desk very effectively. Two drawers in good working order. The leaf can be left down or can be raised with the ingenious bent rod that attaches at a point under the desk. Stamped and branded to bottom of one drawer. All original foot glides are intact. Overall a rare example of an iconic form. A true delight to use as a functional sculpture.
