Italian Neoclassical Style Console w/Pierced Apron & New Stone Top
About the Item
An Italian Neoclassic style carved-wood console, with original finish and a new quartzite top, from the mid 20th century. This vintage table from Italy has a new custom "Taj Mahal" quartzite top (known for its durability) which is rectangular-shaped with projected corners, and a subtle step out along it's center front. It rests upon an apron which mimics the shape of the stone top, and is beautifully pierce-carved in a repeating o-shape about three sides, and front center plaque embellished with a bow-tie, bouquets and swagged valance top. Flower head medallions accentuate each corner. The four tapering squared legs have acanthus leaf wrapped tops, petite flower heads with hanging drapes carved at mid-leg, and terminate into petite leaf-wrapped peg feet. The cream finish with bronze/gold accents is original to this piece. This Italian console table, with it's Neoclassical style carvings and quartzite top, is a great versatile size being just over 4 feet in width. A beautiful Italian console table with pierced skirt and slate stone top from the early 19th century. This antique table from Italy is topped with a rectangular-shaped honed black slate slab, which rests above a fabulously pierce-carved apron, along with bead-and-dot trim at it's topside, and a ribbon carved skirt lining along the bottom. Each apron corner, just above the legs has been carved with a single flower head. The round-turned legs are accentuated with carved acanthus leaf wrappings at their mid-sections, and then continue to taper towards their feet. Color palette is a dark blue showing from beneath a wash of black, and pewter toned accents. The backside of this table remains un-finished, therefore best use would be for it to be used against a wall. This antique Italian table...

An Italian marble top console table, with urn finial accent at underside, from the Mid-20th Century (circa 1930s-1950s). This vintage table from Italy features a rectangular shaped marble top, which rests upon an exquisitely pierce-carved apron in a repeating "o" pattern with petite bead trim and center plaque carved with a pair of doves, foliage, and garland swags. The table is presented on four cylindrical legs, flute-carved, and braced with a flute-carved cross-stretcher bar, with circular platform at joining intersections adorn with a three dimensionally carved urn fire atop its center.
