About the Item
An Italian early 19th century marble-top console table. This beautiful giltwood console table with white marble top features a nicely carved apron with hanging floral swags and guilloche motif. The two legs, topped with floral accents, are tapered and fluted. They are braced together with an exquisitely carved stretcher with floral swags which wrap through the handles of a central carved urn with floral motif. There is a wonderful patina to this piece and there are some scraped areas with wood showing through, as well as spots of a deep red and blue. This console is wall-mounted and would adorn any room beautifully.
