Paolo Barracchia Large Brass and Wood Coffee Table, Italy 1970s
This large coffee table, designed by Paolo Barracchia and manufactured in Italy by Roman Deco, features a square padouk construction with an ebony center. It includes contrasting geometric maple and bone inlays, a band of brass around the outer edge, and brass feet and edges on the double, open-work legs. Although unmarked, the design and series attribution are well-documented. Paolo Barracchia was a visionary furniture designer who was celebrated for integrating form and function in his creations. Roman Deco, synonymous with elegance and luxury, continues to set the benchmark for exceptional furniture. This table, produced in Italy in the 1970s, exudes a robust Hollywood Regency flair and would make a statement piece for any interior. It would be a striking addition to living rooms, family rooms, screening rooms, offices, and hospitality or corporate locations such as boutique hotel lobbies, cocktail bars, members clubs, or luxury boutiques.
