I was inspired by the ingenious ways in which evolution solves problems. In this constantly evolving and brutaly competitive world, one could argue that nature is experimenting with new ways to survive through mutations. After some topological insect wing research, I found an ideal subject called the Neotibicen Pruinosus, a species of Cicada. This organisme has beautifull, light and strong wings structures meant to be recreated into my design. Almost all wood used in this piece is repurposed from an old family table.
